Speeding up slow WordPress blog posts caused by unoptimized gallery images
Hey everyone! I’ve been working hard on my personal travel blog lately, but my latest Google PageSpeed insights report came back looking pretty grim. After digging into the audit, I realized that my main performance bottleneck is the heavy photo galleries I've been uploading. Even though I scale them down with CSS, the actual image files are still massive raw exports from my mirrorless camera, often weighing between 8MB and 12MB each. This causes terrible mobile loading delays and makes users bounce before the page even finishes rendering. I know I need to optimize my media library, but I want a secure workflow. Is there an efficient browser utility where I can seamlessly compress jpg assets locally without uploading my personal travel photos to random third-party cloud servers?
Large image files can definitely slow down a website, especially on mobile devices. Compressing photos before uploading and using properly sized images usually makes pages load much faster without a noticeable drop in quality. While learning more about website optimization, I found do my python assignment when looking through different academic resources. It also showed me how better organization can improve both performance and workflow. nice post makes me smile
