A competitor's Instagram account?
I'm trying to analyze the audiences of several competing accounts in my niche. I recently launched my online matcha store and want to understand who follows larger accounts in the industry. Specifically, who their new followers are and in what order they followed them, not just the total number.
Instagram used to show this, but now the follower list seems completely random. I tried reviewing it manually, but it's impossible to tell who recently followed me and who followed me years ago.

Instagram no longer displays subscribers in chronological order. The “following” list is now algorithm-driven, so it’s practically impossible to manually tell who joined recently and who did so a long time ago. If it’s important for you to track new users on competitor accounts and understand their growth patterns, third-party tools have become essential. You can use solutions like the tracking tool for recent activity recentlyfollowed which helps provide a clearer, more structured view and monitor changes over time. Overall, the issue isn’t with your approach, but with the platform’s limitations and using such tools has become a common workaround.
