Where do you actually source background music for video projects

I keep running into the same issue with music for short clips. Finding tracks that stay safe on platforms without licensing surprises later takes more time than the editing itself. How do you handle this side of a project, and what do you check before using a track?

My approach has been fairly cautious. I stopped grabbing tracks from random uploads after two claims that took weeks to sort out, so now I only use libraries that state licensing terms clearly. InAudio is one I have used for a while. It covers videos, presentations, games, and apps, and the catalog runs across corporate, sports, cinematic, and lighter kids oriented material. What actually saved me time was the loops and the 15, 30, and 60 second edits included with each track, since trimming and syncing manually is where most of my post production hours used to disappear. Anyone comparing options can look at copyright free music and read the terms before committing to anything. Pricing sits at 7.99 a month, with a yearly option at a discount and single track licenses for one off projects. I would still recommend reading the license text yourself rather than trusting a summary, including mine.
